River levels have now fallen below the flood risk threshold and we expect to be able to remove this flood warning in the morning. Further showery rainfall is forecast over the next few days although this is not expected to have a significant effect on river levels. We continue to monitor the situation. Our incident response staff are checking the condition of defences.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.

River levels rose as a result of persistent (heavy) rainfall yesterday and overnight, 20/02/2022. Areas most at risk are properties at Cardigan Trading Estate.
River levels will remain high throughout today, before beginning to fall this evening and overnight. Currently, the risk of flooding remains. Although further unsettled weather and showers are forecast, we are not expecting any further significant rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. River levels have risen as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible from 19:30, Sunday 20/02/2022. Areas most at risk are properties at Cardigan trading Estate.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to peak later tonight, but will they will remain high into tomorrow morning, Monday 21/02/2022.
We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast.
Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded, and put your flood plan into action.

River levels remain high but are falling following persistent heavy rainfall associated with Storm Ciara. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing. Areas most at risk are properties at Cardigan trading Estate.
Further scattered rainfall is forecast throughout Monday, however, we do not anticipate any further significant river response. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the situation from our incident room.
